EVAPA learned that lifetime member Terry Witt, father of member Cheryl Dillon, passed away the night of the significant other dinner. The club offers its deepest condolences to Terry’s family.
The EVAPA annual significant other dinner and silent auction returned this year and it was great to see everyone again. We had approximately 80 people in attendance. It gave everyone a chance to get caught up with folks they may have not seen in awhile. Members were asked to bring nice tractor related items for the silent auction. We had some really nice items and the bidding was very active. When it was all said and done the club raised $1500 from the auction.
The scheduled tour at the Claas manufacturing plant on Feb 16th was canceled due to inclement weather. Jim Davenport is working to see if we can get it rescheduled.
We have tentatively lined up a representative from Nebraska DOT to speak at our March general meeting. These are always informative meetings as there are usually many questions from members regarding safe trailer operation, loading, licensing etc…
Our March meeting is scheduled at Farmer Brown’s. The management at Farmer Brown’s wants us to be at the restaurant at 5:30 to sit and order together prior to the meeting. If you are planning to attend the meeting and eat with the group please plan to be at Farmer Browns at 5:30. They have a selection of sandwiches etc…like they did at the Fire Barn.
If you have any suggestions for topics and/or guest speakers please reach out to your VP, Howard Hardy or a board member. It doesn’t have to be related to antique tractors.
