Our annual significant other dinner and silent auction returns this year to a familiar place. This will once again take place at Farmer Brown’s in Waterloo, NE. Cocktail hour begins at 5:30pm and dinner is at 7pm. Dinner choices are prime rib, top sirloin, chicken, shrimp or salmon. Members are asked to bring nice tractor related items for the silent auction. Proceeds from the auction will go to COPE once again. Mike & Shirley O’Brien have graciously offered to head up the auction.
There is a scheduled tour at the Claas manufacturing plant in Omaha on Feb 16th at 10AM. Claas is located at 8401 So 132nd St Omaha, NE.
We have tentatively lined up a representative from Nebraska DOT to speak at our March general meeting. These are always informative meetings as there are usually many questions from members regarding safe trailer operation, loading, licensing etc…
As many of you may have seen or heard, our long time meeting location at the Fire Barn in Waterloo is now closed. They provided us a nice place to meet and gather for a meal for several years. We have talked to the manager at Farmer Brown’s. They have offered us the use of their meeting room with the same stipulation that we had at the Fire Barn. They would like members to eat at the restaurant before the meeting and if enough of us eat, they will let us use the meeting room like we did at the Fire Barn. Please plan to be at the restaurant at 5:30 to eat prior to the meeting to ensure we get our food on time. They have a selection of sandwiches etc…like they did at the Fire Barn.
If you have any suggestions for topics and/or guest speakers please reach out to your VP, Howard Hardy or a board member. It doesn’t have to be related to antique tractors.
